Terms of early registration

These terms apply when you register early, before Truckers of Mzansi fully opens. They're short, because early registration is simple: you apply now, we check your documents, and you only pay once you're verified.

1. What early registration is

You apply for verification and choose the driver number you'd like. There's nothing to pay when you apply, and no account is needed: we email you at the address you give.

2. The early-bird price

Registering early costs R450.00, once-off. It covers your driver number, one number badge with your number embroidered on it, and courier delivery of the badge in South Africa. The price is locked to your application: it's the price on your invoice once you're verified, even if you're verified after launch.

3. Your number

• We hold the number you chose (or, if you agreed, the nearest free number) for 14 days while we check your application. If we ask you for more information, the hold is extended by another 14 days.
• Once you're verified, we hold it until your invoice is due.
• The number becomes yours, in your name on the register, when your payment is confirmed.
• If the hold runs out before you're verified, we'll ask you to choose a number again.

4. Verification

We check that you hold a valid professional driving licence and PrDP, using the documents you upload. We may ask for more information. We email the link to add documents, and it works for 30 days.

If we decline an application, we tell you why. There's nothing to pay, and your documents are deleted as set out in the privacy notice.

5. Paying

After you're verified we email an invoice with our bank details and a payment reference. Pay by EFT within 7 days. If the invoice isn't paid by then, it expires and your number is released. You're not obliged to pay: you can let it expire. The terms of sale apply to the payment.

6. Your information

You agree to these terms and give consent for us to process your information on the application form. The privacy notice explains what we do with it, who can see it, and how long we keep it. Your ID and PrDP numbers are encrypted, and your documents can be opened only by our verifiers and senior administrators, with every view recorded.

7. Honesty

Apply only for yourself, with your own documents. We decline or cancel applications made with someone else's documents or false information. If that's discovered after a number is issued, the number may be withdrawn (see the terms of use).

8. Your account

When you create an account with the same email address and confirm it, your early registration is linked to it automatically. You can then follow your application, pay and see your number in one place.
